HIMPUN | the turnout was only short by 995,000. regret

Salam,

“They can be a small number but the spirit is the same, whether one million come or one hundred thousand or one thousand. We are not concerned about the real numbers if you want to count everyone,” Himpun chairman Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid told reporters after the rally. Himpunan Sejuta Umat was organised by various “right-wing” religious groups calling for Muslims to rise up and fight the “challenge of Christianisation”.

I felt lil bit disappointed because in Malaysia, most Muslims, I mean Malays, still dividing themselves with different political party idealogy, even in issues regarding agama. Some said that Himpun was actually sponsored by a political party, So? If it is for real, does it mean that it is wrong or having some kind of hidden agenda to win on next GE?, vice-versa.

With the turnout was only short by 995,000 people (atleast more than people will attend to Malacca football team match), personally I think that Himpun should focus more on solving the ills facing many muslims instead of go blaming others entirely to keeping up the momentum of yesterday's congregation.

By the way, I'm not being asked or paid to come to this program.
