Salam to all my br and sis,

It's been yonks since my last update aite? I've been busy for past few weeks with exams and sorts of thing. So here we go, as the title above, without further adieu here is my first entry for the year 2012. Woot! Woot!

Ever heard of Mohandas Gandhi? He was the important ideological and political leader of India during the Indian independence movement, influencing people both spiritually and politically. Gandhi's influence was so great that his methods were later adopted by many political activists all around the world.

Gandhi was a man who won the respect of people everywhere when he found himself seen as an outcast and chose to resist peacefully. This would not have been easy, since he was an educated and respectable person, and his humbling himself to a calm and consistent resistance was truly noble and earth-shattering.

Here are 376 minus 371 life lessons by Mohandas Gandhi that I want to share with you guys.

1. Be the Change

Photobucket

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.”

Be the example, be the leader. If you lead properly people will follow, and together you will change the world.
Anyone can complain, anyone can blame, and most do, but if you desire to change, then “you” be the change.

*Gandhi was a clear and solid example of peaceful force in an era of bloodshed and war.

2. Ask the Right Questions

Photobucket

“The power to question is the basis of all human progress.”

The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the quality of the questions that you dare to ask.
Are you asking the right questions? Are you asking the right people?
You can’t make progress, without an inquiring mind.

3. Appreciate Life and Be Thankful

Photobucket

“Earth provides enough to satisfy every man's need, but not every man's greed”

We tend to forget that happiness doesn't always come as a result of getting something we don't have,
but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.

4. Always Act

Photobucket

“Have a bias towards action – let’s see something happen now. You can break that big plan into small steps and take the first step right away.”

Doing nothing all day feels great, realizing you did nothing all day, what a waste
Gandhi said, “The future depends on what we do in the present.”

5. Forgive

Photobucket

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
